Stonehaven Commons

516/512 King of Prussia Rd, Radnor PA.

There are two stone farmhouses on this historic property, situated on a beautiful 2.5 acre lot with large mature trees, well-established perennial gardens, a large water-garden with several fieldstone patios overlooking the forest and sloping into Gulph Creek. The outdoor property includes an old stone bridge, a suspension bridge, and a spring-house cave. The property (‘Hillside’or‘Gaybrook’) is listed on the US register of Historical properties, and is zoned as an educational institution in Radnor. The Tanner, Pechin, and Tatum families were the original owners and caretakers of this unique property which was carefully and naturally tended mostly in a deep Quaker tradition from the mid 1700’s up until the 1980’s. Read here what Carol creatively writes about this “Voice of Stonehaven.”

Stonehaven specials-9516 is a classic Pennsylvania stone farmhouse originally built in the late 1700’s. The rooms have wood-burning and natural gas fireplaces, and all the floors are original wide-plank heart pine.

One of the unique garden features is a self-guided reflective path through the garden – “Windows on the Earth”. This is a series of twelve stations for meditation with a series of thoughtful questions. These invite new glimpses for our journey to help the unfolding of our authentic selves. The gardens are available for private tours and day visits.
